Summary[]
The 90 Day Fiancé first introduces Liz as a potential love introduce for Ed "Big Ed" Brown when he asks her out while she is working as a server at a restaurant. After several appearances across various seasons and shows within this franchise, Big Ed and Liz break up and reunite over nine times, marking them as one of the more prevalent "on again/off again" relationships within the franchise.
History[]
Relationships[]
Both Ed and Liz claim that many people in their personal lives are unsupportive of their relationship and both Ed and Liz claim to have cut off some of these individuals from their lives. Liz was raised by her grand-parents with whom she has a positive relationship, she and her mother have a cordial although less personal relationship compared with the grand-parents, and the show does not discuss much about Liz's father. Many of Liz's friends worked/work with Liz in the restaurant (see below); the show does not go into depth discussing these individuals and their relationships aside from Big Ed's speculations about these individuals sexual orientations. Liz was married twice before meeting Ed: the first occurred when she was 19 years old and the second she referred to as "a joke", citing they were married in Las Vegas, which implies it was a spontaneous decision. Of these two marriages, one of her ex-husbands is the father of her child; Liz reveals to the franchise that she considers legally challenging hers and her ex-husband's custody arrangement. Lastly, Liz alludes to one of her exes as abusive; she does not link this claim with an individual directly, such as distinguishing if her abuser was one of her ex-spouses or an ex-boyfriend. She implies that the relationship was emotionally abusive although due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter, it is possible that other forms of abuse also took place, such as spiritual, financial, and/or physical abuse.
